Quality of atmospheric air in our town largely depends on pollutant wastes volumes of two main pollution sources: stationary and movable. An average summary amount of wastes from them over the town is 150-200 th. tons a year. It is considerably decreased for late years (against 300 th. tons in 1990), but it was composed by the objective causes in municipal economy (a production volumes fall).

A being supervisions system in our town testifies that the most payment into summary air pollution (from all marked admixtures) is brought by such matters as benzapilene and formaldehyde ( 20 %),nitrogen dioxide (16 %), phenol (12 %), dust and nitric oxide ( 7 %). All these matters are the products of organic fuel combustion, including a motor transport wastes. Their emissions are over 49 % from total volume: namely, more 84% of oxide carbons, 96% of hydrocarbons and about 25% nitrogen oxides. That is from total amount of the matters that get into atmosphere.

At the energetic enterprises use of more ecologically pure natural gas is decreasing. This is in the main the Kyiv thermoelectric station and boiler-houses. So, only for 1996 against 1995 gas use part decreased practically on 10 % and composed 79 %. On the contrary, the part of used mazut and coal is increased. In the last year they were used almost twice more than in 1995. Accordingly, pollutant emission out of these enterprises increased, too.

Today about 40 enterprises do not have necessary sanitary and protective zone and need further solving the problems as for their placing or another profile taking.

For the last years there was a tendency to decrease of pollutant emissions that first of all connected with decrease of production volumes.
