The base of power base of
industrial municipal complex is energy of Kyiv
GES and GAUS, TETS-5, TETS-6, Tripolskaya
GRES.
The power enterprises have a
most pollution percentage of air basin of the
town, that is about 80% (against the enterprises
of municipal institutions,6,3%.).The main
pollutants are TETS-5 and TETS-6. They emissions
compose accordingly 29% and 28,2% emissions from
stationary sources. In 1998 power enterprises
emissions composed 37,38 thousand tons. They are
TETS-5, TETS-6, PKTM, DTETS).
Besides that, TETS-5 has almost
85 % total industrial needs in water.
At power enterprises there is
increasing of use of more ecologically clean
natural gas. So, only for 1996 against 1995, gas
use part decreased practically 10 % and composed
79 %. On the contrary, the part of used mazut
and coal increases. During last year it is used
almost twice more than in 1995. Accordingly
harmful matters emission from these enterprises
increases, too.
In spite of decreasing of
pollutants’ emissions by power
enterprises, their scopes remain very high. The
cause is an irrational and ineffective use of
electric power and heat in municipal and
consumer economy. The considerable thermal
energy expenses implement while its transport to
consumers, because of an emergency state of
thermal networks. These expenses compose about
half of thermal energy produced in the municipal
boiler-houses. Multistory panel buildings and
constructions have low thermal isolation
ability. The over-expenses of fuel and energy
resources have a place in water and drainage
economy of the town. Preparation and delivery of
1000 water m3 to consumer needs about 800 kvt
electric power a year. An ineffective electric
power use implements at the municipal electric
transport (trolley -bus, tram, underground) in
tie with operating of obsolete transport.
The works "Energiya"
of thermal treatment of consumer wastes
influences negatively on state of atmospheric
air of the left-bank part of the town. Its
treatment facilities do not provide the works
needs. As a result, its emissions in 1998 were
4,7 thousand tons of such pollution matters as
sulphureous anhydride, chloride hydrogen,
fluoric hydrogen, nitric oxides, dioxines,
benzapilene. The works upon reconstruction of
gas-treatment facilities on the fourth
boiler-unit have not been finished yet. At the
same time, the basic area of refuse treatment
and annihilation is its industrial utilization
with apportionment of useful components for
their use as secondary raw materials. And also
it is a use of solid consumer wastes for
production of thermal and electric energy. Heat
use produced at the works "Energiya"
is unsatisfactory. That's why a refuse
utilization practically changes to its
incineration without effective use of got
heat.
